Hi I started my juice fast on sunday and am actually very suprised at how well i am doing, but i need your help. I need a recipe that will keep me full longer. when i am at work it’s hard for me to keep running to the lunch room for a drink, so if you could recommend something i would appreciate it. I work with junk food junkies and i need the help.

I prepped juices yesterday for 2 days. I love the V8 juice I made without all the sodium. Tastes fresh. I’m doing this for weight loss and just to be healthier. I”d ultimately like to do a 15 day or 60 day juice cleanse to restart everything. Do you think adding protein powder is an okay thing to do? I worry about lack of protein…
2nd day of my juicing is going good… Probably from tomorrow I will start exercise… I haven’t started yet because I just wanted to listen to my body how it reacts with only juicing. I think I am enough energetic to exercise.
Leauphaun, if your intention is to lose weight and gain health with full juice fast then you can’t eat any solids. You have to let your digestive system take a rest. Juice is absorbed and not digested so when you throw any solid into the mix, you are activating your digestive system and taking yourself out of the fast. Hi Donnie, my boyfriend and I will start juicing tomorrow morning. We have been really excited to start right after the holidays. I was reading other posts on this site and was surprised to hear how many people are starting on Monday. We choose Saturday because we are off work for the weekend and are prepared for the detox and possible irritable side affects….. We have a 2 yr old son and I have always been pro organic when it comes to his food, but not mine, that is until my boyfriend saw the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead on Netflix. He started trying your juicing recipes the next day. He is tall, thin and is great shape, so I was surprised to learn of his new-found passion for organic juicing. I myself am short and fat (256 lbs), worst shape of my life. I was athletic until I had our son. I’m so excited we found this! And thank you for all the great recipes and advice. My goal is to be under 200lbs by Memorial Day! I plan on juicing for 30 days!

Welcome to JOJ Jolanta! Congrats on getting ready to start your juice fast Wednesday! Don’t be scared, not everybody experiences bad detox symptoms. Most people experience very little as far as bad symptoms. My worst symptom was a slight headache going into day 3 and that was fixed with some ibuprofen. Keep me posted. I wish you all the best!
