It all comes down to willpower. It’s willpower alone and keeping your belly full if you can with some kind of satisfying juice. You also have to whip your mind into shape, telling yourself, “this isn’t forever. I can eat those foods again. When I am done, I plan on eating ________.” Stay away from food as you can. With kids, cook what you know you won’t cave with. Like I can’t be around pizza or pasta. So I avoid it. It’s not easy, but you get better with time. First 3 days, so hard for me. I also use these days to pray for people, committing each day to a certain person. It makes things so much easier if you use a spiritual commitment first, but that’s just my take. Been doing it successfully for 5 years now. You can do it. Blessings!
Melissa, you can make your juices in the morning and take them to work with you as long as you store them in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator. No solids while on your fast. You have to let your digestive system rest during your fast. I wish you the best of luck, let me know if you have any questions.
2nd day of my juicing is going good… Probably from tomorrow I will start exercise… I haven’t started yet because I just wanted to listen to my body how it reacts with only juicing. I think I am enough energetic to exercise.
I lost 17 lbs it has been my first week of juicing. I plan to go another 10 days with a goal of losing 30 lbs. I feel great and have a ton of energy. The frist 2 days are hard mentally so stay strong.
I am severely overweight and tried dieting and exercising for a month now and only lost 16lbs… I wanted to try juicing but I’m currently reviewing for a local board exam. Would you recommend this lifestyle change if I need to study almost 24/7 for the boards? Thank you.
When you limit your food intake to only juice, you are limiting your calorie intake, which leads to weight loss. Although you can lose a lot of weight following a juice fast diet, when you lose weight too quickly, you are most likely losing water and lean muscle, not your excess fat. To lose fat weight and keep it off, lose it slowly at about 1 to 2 pounds a week.
I did a 5 day fast about 3 weeks ago, have gotten back into eating to much and need to get control again, was not hungry on fast,I followed your 7 day plan but only made it through 5 days,I need help on how to eat after my fast, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Thank you for your wonderful comment Tammy! I’m glad everything is working out for the better! You’re doing an outstanding job of juicing and committing to a new way of life and health. Great things are in store for you if you continue to reach for your goals Tammy. I’m happy I was able to help you. As always, I’ll be here if you have any questions.
Antanisha, when I fast I go strictly juice. When I come off of my fast I’ll start to include solids. I didn’t exercise at all on my first fast but if you hit a plateau with your weight loss, exercise is good way to keep losing the weight. Again,

Hi Terri, I’m so glad you feel inspired to Reboot! It’s so worth it! I basically had a juice whenever I would normally have had a meal, so breakfast, lunch and dinner. But you can have them in between at morning tea or after dinner as well. I guess just make sure you keep the ratio of veggies higher than the fruit content. If you include too much fruit, you can end up gaining weight due to the sugar content. Maybe be careful with high sugar fruits and only have them sometimes. Some veggies add a sweet flavour to juice, like parsnips. I usually have one of those in my daily breakfast juice. And if you like apple, go for the green variety as they are less sweet. My everyday breakfast juice normally has something green and leafy (romaine lettuce, spinach or Asian greens), a big cucumber, half a fennel bulb, big chunk of fresh ginger, a parsnip, a lemon – the whole thing goes into the juicer, a thick slice of fresh pineapple for its anti inflammatory effects, and a green apple. Yummy! Good luck with your reboot!
Ive read many of the post on this site and I find it very motivating. I haven’t seen anything about juicing while breastfeeding. Can I do 100% juicing or can I do 50% of my meals in juice? I see it’s all healty ingredient, so it cant be harmful, right? I’m trying to lose weight in these two weeks. Any weight loss is welcomed.
Looking to lose 80 pounds. I started my juicing today! I must say Kale is gross! I made the green machine juice from fat sick and nearly dead. I tell you what, it’s got to be modified or I won’t be able to stomach it LOL!
Berries are one of the most concentrated sources of antioxidants, containing anthocyanins, phenols, and flavonoids. Plus, they are high in fiber and low in sugar. Cloves contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds as well, including eugenol. Cinnamon contains polyphenols that help increase insulin sensitivity and control blood sugar.
Lesson 6 is about improving the quality of your sleep. As you may already know if you can’t sleep well, losing weight is difficult. When you don’t get enough quality sleep, your hormones that promote hunger and cravings go up and your appetite control hormones go down.
The Toxin killer is healthy juice with an unusual green; it is full of vitamins, essential nutrients, and antioxidants. It cleanses and detoxes the body of harmful toxins. Thus, it should be a part of your daily routine.
Chocolate is a delicious way to include flavonoids and other antioxidants in your diet. Using raw organic cocoa powder is one of the best options, since it contains no added sugar. Nutrient and fiber-rich spinach is mild enough that its flavor doesn’t compete with the chocolate. This juice also includes blackberries, which provide fiber, anthocyanins, vitamin C, and a little sweetness, as well as avocado for creaminess, healthy fats, and antioxidant vitamin E.
Tammy, you are very welcome! Congrats on your success and your health! 15 pounds is a great accomplishment and you should be real proud of yourself. I’ll be here if you have any questions Tammy. How long are you going to juice for and what are your goals?
Most diets are based on the quantity factor–fewer calories, less fat, less carbs…but, what they completely ignore is the quality factor. The reason so many people crave various foods is that they lack quality food that offers enough vital nutrients to keep them healthy. It’s a known fact that our fruits and vegetables have considerably fewer nutrients than forty years ago. No wonder people are more hungry. This is why we eat a meal and still want something more to eat shortly after. The fact is—your body is lacking some very vital nutrients, especially when you are on a diet. This program is based on quality. That’s where juicing and/or green smoothies make a difference. They offer a concentration of nutrients along with knowing how to choose nutrient dense foods.
To complete the green quartet, spinach and green apple is added to the mix. Spinach as I’ve said is a rich source of vitamins and antioxidants that help your body’s immune system to fight free radicals.
So let me get this straight.. you’re saying people lose weight because they are juicing mostly fruits and veggies that don’t taste good? You’ve obviously never juiced and don’t know what you’re talking about. Weight loss occurs because you are flushing your body with a high amount of nutrition. This creates a system of low toxicity in your body and allows your body to release it’s toxins (stored in fat). The toxins leaving your body allow the nutrients to balance your system and give you the nutrition you’ve been lacking. Also, juices taste amazingly good and almost everyone who I have helped juice agrees.
