Many people use different forms of weight loss juicing every day. There have been many successful cases. I get emails all the time from people just like you that have replaced a meal a day with juicing or who have juice fasted. Sometimes, results are unbelieveable, especially for those juice fasting or on a juice diet plan.
Does juicing help people reach any of the goals above? I’ll be first to admit that while there is a great deal of research regarding the health benefits of eating more fruits and vegetables, there is very little research-based evidence regarding the juice of such produce. Yet, we can still use science and common sense to answer the most common questions about juicing.
no it doesnt my brother started off slow you dont want to change all of your eatting habits immediatley because then you eill either give up fast or cheat do it little by little until your boy adjusts youll be fine
Prevents hunger – Juicing gives your body all the nutrients it needs, and then some! When your body is lacking nutrients, it makes you hungry. In this way, you will eat less and have fewer junk food cravings.
Gage, congrats on day 4 of your juice fast. I’m glad you’re feeling great! You can’t eat any solids while on the fast. If you’re just working out and exercising the protein in the juice will be enough. If you’re weight lifting and trying to build muscle then you may consider a protein supplement such as an unflavored protein isolate to add to your juices. You should work on hitting your weight goal first and then after a week or two start your exercise routines. This way your body can adjust and finish out the detox phase. During the first week it’s best to get as much rest as possible and not work your body too much. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi. I’m going to start juice fasting tomorrow for four days then eat little things on Thursday because my friends are coming then I’ll start again for 2 weeks at least. I’ll give you results every week >
Nicole, welcome to JOJ! It’s truly safe to juice for 30 days. Anything beyond that I do recommend a check up with your doctor to ensure everything is how it should be. But I’m sure you’ll drop 18 pounds well before 30 days. Keep me posted and let me know how it goes Nicole. Cheers!
I see that I should start the day with 1/2 lemon with 12-16 oz of warm to hot water. How important is the temperature? For some reason, I don’t know, I’m not able to drink warm-hot water, makes me throw up. Is it ok to drink cold water w/lemon to start the day? I am really enjoying your site. I’m learning lots and can’t wait to get started! Thank you for all the wonderful information and taking the time to answer questions!
With all of those benefits, how could you NOT want to start juicing?! If you need more inspiration, check out the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead streaming live on Netflix. It will be all the inspiration you need!
Liz, you may feel some side effects from the cleanse but those side effects are minimal and usually the strongest thing people experience are cravings and headaches. If you do start to feel lightheaded it may be because you aren’t drinking enough water throughout the day. So make sure you are drinking plenty of water. I recommend having at least 8-16 ounces of water directly after you have a juice. If you do get a headache it’s okay to take tylenol or ibuprofen. You can also have an occasional tea.
This will allow you to keep track of the effects that your positive lifestyle changes are having on you (i.e. losing 30lbs in a month like me!). I know it’s important to see your progress as well as feel it.
