Roeleen, welcome to JOJ! You can only have the juice that you make while on the fast. Now, you can get creative and make some fine soups out of your juices. Just heat them up and enjoy warm. But don’t have anything that doesn’t come out of your juicer. I’m here if you have any questions.

I went out last night to get all the ingredients to make this. It is so delicious and refreshing! I don’t have a juicer, so I blended it all instead. Stuart, I had very high blood pressure and was on medication before I started. My blood pressure was normalized within three days of the fast. Don’t stop taking your medicine though. You may want to schedule a check up with your doctor or monitor your pressure daily in intervals so you can get an idea of how your blood pressure is on and off the meds while you are juicing.
I recently came across this site after deciding I’d begin juicing over my winter recess from college in hopes of becoming healthier, intake the nutrition I’ve been missing out on, and drop weight. Limit the amount of time you spend drinking only liquids. All liquid or juice diets or cleanses are not meant to be followed long-term. Don’t follow plans that recommend consuming only juice or liquids for more than a few days.

Remember Food Safety. Wash your hands before touching the fruits and vegetables. Then, be sure to thoroughly wash the produce. Make sure to properly clean the cutting board, knife and preparation area. Wash your juicing machine carefully after each use with hot soapy water according to the manufacturer’s directions.
