I have been juicing for 24 hours and have lost 1.2kgs.. is this normal?? (not that I am complaining). I have heard a lot about “water weight” would this be water weight? Sandra, a vitamix will not work. You need to have a juicer. Any type of blender will not work as they do not separate the fiber and pulp out of the produce. At my heaviest, I was 177. I think I was about 174 when I got serious. My short-term goal was to get to 160 in time for the ball. I’m happy to report that when I stepped on the scale yesterday morning I was 159! Still more to go, but it’s been many years since that 2nd number on the scale was a 5!

Hi Donnie, my boyfriend and I will start juicing tomorrow morning. We have been really excited to start right after the holidays. I was reading other posts on this site and was surprised to hear how many people are starting on Monday. We choose Saturday because we are off work for the weekend and are prepared for the detox and possible irritable side affects….. We have a 2 yr old son and I have always been pro organic when it comes to his food, but not mine, that is until my boyfriend saw the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead on Netflix. He started trying your juicing recipes the next day. He is tall, thin and is great shape, so I was surprised to learn of his new-found passion for organic juicing. I myself am short and fat (256 lbs), worst shape of my life. I was athletic until I had our son. I’m so excited we found this! And thank you for all the great recipes and advice. My goal is to be under 200lbs by Memorial Day! I plan on juicing for 30 days!
