My first thought was to include it all in my blog, but I quickly realized I needed a custom solution to help teach you how to lose weight with juicing, so… I created a juicing for weight loss program for people who are looking to lose weight with juicing the right way without wasting time!
My husband and I started juicing on the 11th of May 2014 and its been 11 days the first 3 days i lost 7 lbs. and my husband lost 8, after the 5th day my husband and I weighed our selves and he lost 3 more lbs and I lost 2 and then he stopped juicing and I kept going, so on the tenth day witch would be 5 days after that I weighed myself and only lost a pound. is there something that I am doing wrong?
The biggest thing I noticed within about 3 days of starting the cleanse is that my joints don’t ache so much. I know I had a lot of inflammation. My fingers ached a lot and knees and hips, but now it’s much much less. The other thing I’ve started checking is my BP. Honestly, I was scared to take it before I started. I know it was rarely if ever under 140/90 with a heart rate in the upper 80s or even low 90’s. I just took it this evening and it was 128/77 with a heart rate of 71. Pretty dramatic results in a short time frame.
Chantelle, people have the best success when they stick with the fast as opposed to taking a day or two and eating solids and then going back on the fast. You can do it either way though but just be true to yourself and don’t overeat during that day. If you would like to try more recipes go here: http://www.justonjuice.com/juicing-recipes/ Cheers!

(NaturalNews) Whether you’re looking to shed a few pounds quickly, or jumpstart a bigger weight loss goal, juicing is a great option. It’s simple math – to lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. It can be a challenge to get all of the nutrients you need to perform your daily tasks while keeping your caloric intake at a deficit. Adding some nutrient-rich juices and smoothies will go a long way in helping with that goal.
KT, welcome to JOJ and thank you for your comment! It’s great that you are taking the necessary steps to get your health back in order. We often get so tied up in life and tend to take care of everything else and everybody else except ourselves. I’m glad you are doing so well on your fast. Stick to it and things will only get better for you. I’m going to have to try your beet/carrot/apple/ginger recipe as I love all those ingredients. I’ve always found it amazing how good the juices taste. At first I though they were going to be hard to get down but I found it was the opposite. After a few days I was craving the juices and couldn’t wait to try out new recipes.
Fiber, for instance, which helps you feel full and slows the digestive process and moderates your blood-sugar levels. And many essential amino acids (proteins), which you can only get through food sources. And fat-soluble vitamins, which need to be digested along with fat in order to be effectively metabolized. Plus other important things that keep your body ticking along normally.
Hey there I’m going to start a 20 day juice cleanse and detox! I have lost 73 pounds on my own through exercise and clean eating! I’ve been struggling with trying to lose the last 25 pounds! Is it safe to exercise while juicing only? I’m starting my cleanse in January!
Donnie, I am on day 13 of juice fast and my weight loss has stalled past couple of days. Lost 12 lbs and past few days nothing more. Thought I wasn’t drinking enough water but no more drop in weight when added more water. What can I do to up my weight loss again? Still want to loss 30 more lbs. Is it beneficial to eat a few days? I realize my body is probably in protection mode and holding on to the weight.
The most successful weight-loss strategies are sustainable, meaning you can incorporate them into your lifestyle long-term. Replacing all or most solid food with juice may be fine during the weight-loss process, but you’re likely to start caving in to any cravings you may develop — including the craving to chew — as goes on. While cutting calories through diet alone is more effective than maintaining a diet of excess calories and burning them off through exercise, a combination of calorie reduction and physical activity is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. Juicing can be a healthy component of a nutritionally complete reduced-calorie diet. Ensure that you consume enough protein and fat, along with the carbohydrates and micronutrients from juice, to ensure your bodily functions work properly.
You can further increase the uptake of nutrients by adding a small amount of healthy fat when having your juice. This can be done in a number of ways, such as by sprinkling some freshly ground flax or pumpkin seed over the juice, adding a bit of coconut, having a slice of avocado or enjoying peanut butter on a celery stalk.
Hi my name is John i weight 310 pounds i have tried everything to lose weight and it just keeps coming back my question is with my weight is it safe to juice i usually eat no vegetables at all because of psychological reasons i guess but ive found i can tweak my juices to disguise at least in my mind not to taste like veggies my concern is if at all it puts a strain on your heat i dont want to juice to lose weight if its going to put strain on my heart thanks
About two weeks after I started juicing for weight loss I noticed a pimple like red mark, that had been above my left eye for at least a year, had completely gone away. I had a clarity of mind that I had never experiences before and I had so much energy that I felt a constant and nagging need to be productive. But at the same time I was able to sleep like a baby.
If you’re fully committed to your juice cleanse, that means you’ll have had to cut out all caffeine. “Even if you normally drink only one cup a day, eliminating caffeine cold turkey may contribute to headaches, irritability, and difficulty with concentrating,” says nutritionist Amy Shapiro MS, RD, CDN, and founder of RealNutritionNYC.com. Even if you think you’ll have a different sort of energy from your juice, What Happens to Your Body When You Drink Coffee is a different experience.
That really is what your liver (and your kidneys and intestines) is for. “I don’t like the marketing around juice cleanses,” Eric Ravussin, Ph.D., associate executive director for clinical science at Pennington Biomedical Research Center, told BuzzFeed Life. “That it’s going to detox and mobilize all these toxins and all that — this is pure marketing.”
In order to start juicing regularly, you will need to invest in a juicer, which initially will mean setting aside a bit of money. You might feel like this is an expense you don’t want to have, but by making that purchase, you are committing to your health and weight loss. It gives you a reason to stick to the concept of juicing for long enough that you will start to notice the difference in how you feel. It is also an investment in your health and well-being, so not only does juicing help you to lose weight, but it will save you money in medical fees in the future.

Some people have compared the energy boost of this juice to that of an energy drink, except without the inevitable crash. Plus you get a lot of wholesome natural goodness in a deliciously fruity juice.
Kaz, if her goal is to go on a juice fast the blending won’t help. Please read this article on why you must use a juicer for a juice fast: http://www.justonjuice.com/can-i-use-a-blender-for-juicing/ Fiber is a no no on a juice fast as it defeats the purpose of the cleansing aspect of it and slows down the detox and weight loss aspects. A 16 ounce juice is way more nutritional than a 16 ounce blended beverage. If you are using a Nutribullet you aren’t juicing as juicing is the process of extracting only the juice. The nutribullet just blends it all together.
So keep me in mind for the next month, I will do this. I am keeping a picture journal as well as a written on just for reflection. It’s a great way to keep myself motivated. Have a wonderful day Denise
“I don’t know why someone would do a juice cleanse,” Dr. John Buse, M.D., Ph.D., chief of the division of endocrinology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, told BuzzFeed Life. “There’s very little evidence that it does anything good for you.”
I have the same question, Im pretty new to this juicing and have read a lot of good results, I beleive that we should be juicing every day, substitute the breakfast and lunch with juices and have a dinner that is 80% vegetables. Remember 4-6 juices is good, from my recent expereience, 3-4 just doesnt feel like enough and have found that i am absolutley starving by the end of the day. Not sure if this helps, just wanted to share some insight.
