P.S. I don’t do a lot of different juices I keep it simple. I use spinach and bagged power greens, celery, cucumber, ginger, carrots and lemon. The one thing I do is seep rat the first 5 ingredients and down those and then drink the carrot and lemon slowly. I just don’t like the mix I don’t like the greens period but they are so good for me I drink them the carrot and lemon is amazing soooo good. I don’t use apples to much but I do on occasion.

Ginger adds a touch of spiciness to this drink, if you don’t like this flavor disregard it but it does a great job masking the strong flavor of spinach (trust me you’ll like this with ginger than without).

Heidi, congrats on day 3 of your juice fast! If you didn’t eat anything during those three days you may still be on detox. The detox usually lasts 3-5 days depending on your previous eating habits. You’ll know when you’re off detox as you’ll start to feel really good when those toxins are out of your system. As far as weight I think 20 pounds is achievable. I doubt you will gain it back if you stick to making healthy choices in your diet. It’s only when you revert to previous eating habits that you’ll gain it back. Granny Smith apples are better because they contain less sugar. Less sugar means faster weight loss.

As far as your thyroid production I don’t think they would have any adverse affects but it would be best to follow up with your doctor in case he/she may want to test you and change your dosage. I always recommend that people keep up to date with their doctors and let them know they are juicing when on a prescription medication. You have been juicing for 5 days and feel no bad effects from it, and you’re feeling fine and energetic so just keep doing what your doing and make an appointment with your doc. Hi I have been juicing now for 8 days and lost 11lb already but still have at least 20lb to go. Just had some bad news today and ended up eating things that I shouldn’t as long as I carry on the diet how will my body react to the excess intake an will I put a lot of weight back on again??

Do these have to be juiced? Can you get the same benefits if these were blended? Was wondering because I’m on a weight loss program and have lost 34lbs and this sounds like something I really want to try. I just can’t afford to get a juicer right now.

Sarah, thanks for you comment and congrats on ordering your juicer and deciding to start a juice fast! You can have between 4-6 juices per day with each being around 16-20 ounces.
