I wrote not too long ago about my curiousity with starting juice. So I have! I’m on day 3 of juicing and I am shocked that it hasn’t been as difficult as I thought that it would be. I am focusing on health so I didn’t even bother with weighing myself. I just want to feel and be healthier and I’m hoping weight lose just comes along with that. I am doing well and have enjoyed a lot of the recipes and tips on your site. For that, I thank you. Paola, congrats on starting your juice fast! It’s an exciting and life changing experience if you stick with it. I met a lady who juiced for over 80 days, and a man who juiced for over 100 days. It’s safe, and it’s okay to do. The main thing you have to understand is that you are getting all of the nutrition you need on a juice fast, even protein. You don’t get insoluble fiber but it’s not necessary and you will get that when you go off of your fast and start eating solids again.

Abby, welcome to JOJ and congrats on 8 days of juicing and 11 pounds lost! Sorry you heard some bad news today. Hop back on your fast and forget you ate anything. It will pass and you’ll be fine. I m thinking of starting juicing and i recently tried some fruit- vegetables cold pressed juices to see what i like and dont before i purchase all the ingredients . Wow Carrie that’s great! keep it up. The hardest part of any weight loss journey is actually keeping it off but once you’ve built momentum you have to sustain it. My suggestion would be not stacking any junk food at home, trust me if you have it in there you will eat it and always keep your body hydrated. Sometimes hunger pangs is caused by dehydration.

My husband and I are on Day 9; our goal is 14 days and I am confident we will follow through! We feel great! Just juice, warm lemon water and herbal teas. We drink plenty of juice to stave off hunger and encourage one another to stay motivated.
