Im so confused on where to start! I purchased a Breville Juicer over the weekend and I have no idea where to start or what to do… Do I just begin by making a juice and drink those for my meals for a month? Please Help!

Start your day out strong and have some lemon and warm water first thing when you wake up. It will help set the pace throughout the day. Also, don’t think that less is better and less will make you lose weight fast. Make sure you are having between 4-6 juices per day with each being about 16-20 ounces. Do that, drink plenty of water, get some good sleep and the detox part will be through really fast. After the first 3-5 days you’ll get a rush of energy and you’ll start feeling fantastic! Hello!! I weight 227 I am 5’2 and I need to lose 60lbs or more. I was going to start juicing in the morning and having Greek yogurt for lunch with another juice and for dinner a salad with some chicken and no fat dressing. Will that help me lose weight? Also I will be walking/jogging 30mins a day. Please give me any advice u have!!! I need help.

Hello, I read your blog and also a lot of the comments, however I had a question. I work and go to school, and I heard if you juice you have to drink it within 15 mins is that true? I was hoping to juice in the morning or the night before so I can take it to school/work. Can you shred some light on this? If u have already answered this question I’m sorry I didn’t see it among all the replies.

Well Donnie, I first started to juice due to the wieght gain because of a curtain med my doc put me on. As time goes on I’m growing to love doing it not just because of the wieght loss but of how I’ve been feeling also. I feel lighter, more energized & happier. So I may continue on my juicing course for some time yet. Thank you again Donnie for all that you’ve done for me but also for every one that you have helped to better themselves!!!
Chad, you’re still going through detox. That’s a very common symptom of detox and it will pass soon. Detox usually lasts between 3-5 days. As far as weight, the more you start with, the more you can expect to lose. At your weight of 170 I’m going to say you will lose weight but probably not so much as to make you look super skinny or anything bad. Just keep on eye on your weight and set your self a limit that you want to lose, or a limit that you don’t want to pass and then start incorporating solids back into your diet. Hey Donnie! I am looking forward to starting the juicing fast, but before I do I have a question for you. I am a young mother and I am basically just looking to lose at most 15 pounds. Mainly the “baby weight” so to speak. my question is do you have to be over weight for this to be an effective way to lose weight? I ask because even though I am not happy with the way my body looks, I’m not overweight. Also while on the juice fast are you aloud to drink water throughout the day along with the juice? Or strictly just the juice to be effective?
Bimnatty, welcome to JOJ and congrats on deciding to do a juice fast with your daughter. I would have concerns as you are still breastfeeding. When you fast you will go through detox. During that detox period toxins will get released into your bloodstream and your milk. You may want to wait until you aren’t breastfeeding anymore to do your fast. You may want to visit your doctor and ask for advice too. If you want to start I would suggest adding in a few juices while eating raw fruits and veggies throughout the day.
