Ali, it’s good to go for at least 2-3 days on fresh fruits and veggies before you start your juice fast. You don’t have to go a full week. It’s just to help your body adjust to the upcoming juices. This is important – don’t forget to exercise regularly at least 3 times a week for 15 to 30 minutes per session. Depending on your physical condition you’ll have to choose the right exercise that will fit your fitness level.
P.S. I don’t do a lot of different juices I keep it simple. I use spinach and bagged power greens, celery, cucumber, ginger, carrots and lemon. The one thing I do is seep rat the first 5 ingredients and down those and then drink the carrot and lemon slowly. I just don’t like the mix I don’t like the greens period but they are so good for me I drink them the carrot and lemon is amazing soooo good. I don’t use apples to much but I do on occasion.
Hi there I just got my juicer and I’m on my 4th day And already feel better more awake and energized I was wondering if your juicing and working out you need protein to is it ok to juice and say eat solids like chicken and fish to will that still be work for weight lose or just stick to juicing and find a protein to put in it ?! The reason juicing helped me was largely because I was consuming a whole lot of empty calories and I felt unsatisfied all of the time. a state of being un-satisfied I did what anyone would do in my situation and I ate more. So much more in fact that it didn’t matter how long I would work out in the gym my body remained the same.
Hi, instead of juicing, could this be run through a vitamix? I get freaked out about too much orange juice…good food/bad food programming, I know. But the using the whole orange makes me feel better about it. Thoughts??
Antony, I wish you would do some research into juicing instead of making assumptions and ignoring actual facts. Watch some documentaries, talk to some people who have actually juiced and succeeded, and maybe give it a shot so you can come into an argument with knowledge instead of your assumptions.
