If your juices aren’t the consistency of water, then you are getting pulp into your juices. They shouldn’t be thick at all. One last thing, let me know what kind of juicer you are using. We will get to the bottom of this as I feel you should be losing more weight if you are sticking to the juices 100% and not eating or drinking anything else but water or plain tea.

Yes when done correctly, you can use juicing for weigh loss. I’ll also share some practical and actionable tips for you to maximize the benefits of juicing so that you could shed excess weight safely without losing muscle mass and keep it off.
Spicy foods have been clinically proven to be exceptionally good at aiding weight loss. This particular juice blend comes with a healthy dose of jalapeno, and ginger root – both sure to heat up your average weight loss session.
Great for busy people who want a fast juicer that will extract juice from fruits and vegetables in under a minute. The best budget slow juicer in our book. It will perform at par even with more expensive brands like Omega or Kuvings at a third of the cost. If you plan to juice a lot of leafy greens then hands down, this extractor should be your number one choice.
Healthy fact: Did you know that the quercetin in apples has been linked in studies at Cornell University to helping protect your vital brain cells from free radical damage that can lead to Alzheimer’s disease.
If you’re not a fan of fruits or vegetables, adding juice to your diet may help you consume more vitamins and minerals. However, if you can, it’s best to eat the whole fruit or vegetable to get the most benefit.
The benefits of juicing for weight loss are clear. You’ll feel less hungry, more energized, more alert and better than ever before. Plus, you’ll quickly begin to shed those pounds. What could be better than losing weight while drinking delicious fresh juice.
Kale is great for you, but eating exclusively kale (or kale smoothies) can have some downsides. See, your body needs some carbohydrates to function normally. And it’s really hard to get all the carbs you need from veggies alone. And this can have some weird side effects (more on that in a bit).
In my opinion -juicing is the best idea if somebody wants to loose weight- I am already happy with the results- after 6 days I lost 6lbs then on Sunday had normal BBQ food- was worry that will be sick or something but it was OK just….could not eat as much as I used to- so its great, now from Monday I am juicing again an planning to do this routine for 2-3 weeks, hope that will work for me…not 60 days with no break but 6 days juicing and 1 day normal food….by the way- how often you could do this juicing diet anyway?
You won’t get the same results if you include solids. Yes, smoothies are considered solids as they use the pulp and fibers from the fruits and vegetables. If you want results then stick to the juices and let them work their magic! It will be worth it! 80 ounces would be sufficient. Anywhere between 64-120 ounces is normal. Drink water directly after a juice and also have some between juices. Water helps with absorbing the nutrients, and it also helps with the detox process.
This bright orange juice is full of equally bright flavors and powerful nutrients. Carrots are high in carotenoids – a type of antioxidant – and fiber. Oranges are a good source of vitamin C, which helps protect the body from free radical damage. Ginger has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities, plus it’s great for digestion.
When you drink a glass of freshly made vegetable or green juice, you load every cell of your body with detoxifying minerals and required nutrients. You also experience a reduction in cravings, particularly for sweets or processed foods, as you are feeding your body all that it needs.
Well Donnie, I first started to juice due to the wieght gain because of a curtain med my doc put me on. As time goes on I’m growing to love doing it not just because of the wieght loss but of how I’ve been feeling also. I feel lighter, more energized & happier. So I may continue on my juicing course for some time yet. Thank you again Donnie for all that you’ve done for me but also for every one that you have helped to better themselves!!!
I juiced for 2 weeks straight, but still ate fruit and avocados throughout the day. Problem is I was getting very very light headed. I have naturally low blood pressure. I’d like juice again as I want to lose 5 pounds…but worried about the lightheadedNess. Isn’t this a signal from my body that I’m not meeting it’s nutritional needs?
Just a couple suggestions for “alternative” powdered protein…I use powdered egg whites for cold drinks (juices and smoothies) and Collegen Peptides for warm smoothies. Both are flavorless and have a ton of protein. They dissolve completely, they do not change the texture of your drink.
You may not need a juicing machine to make juice. You can use a blender for most whole fruits or vegetables to keep the fiber. Add water if it becomes too thick, Villacorta says. You’ll want to remove seeds and rinds, and some skins.

So with all of that said, is juicing good for you? Absolutely. There are so many nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that come from juicing, regardless of whether someone loses weight or not. Some raw juice blends contain superfood ingredients such as kale, wheatgrass, and spinach, all of which provide the body with tremendous nutrients. So much so that in some cases it would take several pounds of produce to equal the same amount of vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, and nutrition found in one raw juice drink. Your body needs balance, and juicing can be a part of that overall balance to help you live healthier along with a balance diet and exercise.
Lesson 6 is about improving the quality of your sleep. As you may already know if you can’t sleep well, losing weight is difficult. When you don’t get enough quality sleep, your hormones that promote hunger and cravings go up and your appetite control hormones go down.

I lost 17 lbs and it has been my first week of juicing. I plan to go another 10 days with a goal of losing 30 lbs. I feel great and have a ton of energy. The frist 2 days are hard mentally so stay strong.
You don’t become a raw vegan, you make a choice to juice until you hit your goal and then reintroduce solids back into your diet. While you could just eat the raw foods Antony I highly doubt you would eat 2 apples, 1 cucumber, 2 handfuls of spinach, 1/2 lemon, a little ginger, and 4 stalks of celery between 4 and 6 times a day. You won’t get health benefits of juicing by eating all that in a day. By juicing it however you will end up with 4-6 juices that are about 16-20 ounces each that are easily drinkable and extremely healthy.
Longoria, congrats on day 2 of your juice fast! You may want to consider adding an unflavored protein isolate to your juices before and after pt. That will help make sure you aren’t loosing too much muscle and give you some energy to get through your pt. If you do that along with light exercise throughout the day, you’ll lose the weight at a good pace Longoria. Keep me posted and let me know how things work out for you. I’m here if you have any questions.
Hi, I’m Tracee, the site’s Juicing Expert, and I apologize if this comes across as mean, but I’m fed up with all of the “experts” spreading mis-informed guidance on how to get healthy and lose weight when they don’t know the first thing about it!
As long as you keep it short and don’t have underlying health problems (such as diabetes), anyway. “[If you’re healthy to begin with,] there’s very little evidence that it does anything bad for you, either,” Buse said. “So if someone feels better when they do a juice cleanse [for a few days,] … as a physician, it’s not something I’d fight with them about. I’m just not sure there’s a great deal of benefits.”
I have COPD and have been on inhaled steroids for 2 years and counting now. Last year, I found out I had Breast Cancer and have been battling that but am now in remission but due to being so sick I have not been able to exercise AT ALL plus taking the steroids I have went from 128 lbs to 190 lbs. Dr says I can now start to slowly work out again and I want to start juicing for health AND weight loss. How much juice should I be drinking per day and also can I make it up ahead and refrigerate it (like make that days all at once in the morning)?
